These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Gentle Bridge website and your participation in any session, course or consulting engagement we offer. Please read them before registering. By registering for a session or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these terms. For questions, write to [email protected].

2. Nature of Services
Gentle Bridge provides general education on household records literacy, document organisation, record-keeping and written communication. We do not provide legal advice, financial advice, counselling, social-work services, or any form of personalised professional guidance. Nothing on this website or in any session constitutes advice on a participant's specific circumstances.
Every session and course includes a written boundary statement describing what it covers and what it does not. Participants are referred to appropriately qualified professionals for questions outside that scope. Attending a session does not create a professional relationship of any kind between the participant and Gentle Bridge.
3. Acceptance and Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to register for a session or course. By registering, you confirm that you have the capacity to enter into a binding agreement and that you have read and accepted these terms. If you are registering on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind the organisation.
4. Registration and Booking
Registration is complete when you receive a written confirmation from us. We reserve the right to decline a registration at our discretion, in which case any fee paid will be refunded in full. Session and course places are limited; registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
5. Fees and Payment
Fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any printed materials provided in the session.
- First Steps Documents Session: RM 500, payable before the session date.
- Written Communication and Record-Keeping Course: RM 1,760 per participant. May be split into two equal payments of RM 880, with the second payment due before Week 4.
- Institutional Consulting: RM 4,600 per engagement. Invoiced in agreed stages as stated in the written engagement letter.
We accept bank transfer and online payment. We do not store payment card details.
6. Cancellation and Refunds
By you: If you cancel more than five business days before the session or course start date, you will receive a full refund less any bank transfer fees. If you cancel within five business days, no refund is issued, but you may transfer your place to another person with prior written notice.
By us: If we cancel a session, we will offer you a full refund or a place in the next available session. We are not liable for any consequential losses arising from a cancellation.
Institutional Consulting: Cancellation terms are stated in the individual engagement letter.
7. Participant Conduct
Participants are expected to engage with sessions respectfully and in a way that does not disrupt other participants. We reserve the right to ask a participant to leave a session if their conduct is disruptive. In that event, no refund will be issued.
You agree not to record sessions (audio or video) without our prior written consent.
8. Intellectual Property
All materials — including checklists, workbooks, scripts, templates and written frameworks — are the intellectual property of Gentle Bridge. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use materials for your own household or organisational administrative purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute or sell materials without our prior written consent.
9. Disclaimers
Sessions and courses are provided for general educational purposes only. We do not represent that attending a session will result in any particular outcome. Nothing in any session constitutes legal, financial or personal advice. We do not guarantee that any document checklist or administrative process described in a session will apply to your specific circumstances without modification.
Website content is provided on an "as is" basis. We make reasonable efforts to keep information current but do not warrant its accuracy at any given moment.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Gentle Bridge's total liability to you for any claim arising from or in connection with a session, course or this website is limited to the fee you paid for the relevant session or course.
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special or punitive damages, including loss of income, loss of data, or any outcome arising from decisions you make based on session content.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Gentle Bridge against any claims, losses, costs or damages arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of session materials.
12. Confidentiality
Information shared in group sessions about a participant's personal circumstances will not be repeated outside the session by Gentle Bridge staff. We ask participants to extend the same courtesy to information shared by other participants. This is not a legally enforceable confidentiality obligation on other participants; it is an expectation we state clearly at the start of each group session.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from these terms or from a session, course or engagement will first be addressed through written communication between the parties. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days of the first written notice, it may be referred to mediation under the rules of the Malaysian Mediation Centre. If mediation does not resolve the dispute, the courts of Malaysia shall have jurisdiction.
14. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: These terms and any booking confirmation constitute the entire agreement between you and Gentle Bridge for the relevant session or course.
- Severability: If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any term on one occasion does not waive our right to enforce it on another.
- Assignment: You may not assign your booking without our written consent. We may assign our obligations to a successor organisation on written notice to you.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with the date at the top. Changes apply to sessions registered after the updated terms are posted. We will notify registered participants of material changes by email.
